My husband and I ordered a POD to clear out clutter in order to stage a home for sale. I was VERY explicit on the phone with PODS that we did not yet know where we were moving. They said it didn't matter, when we found a home they would deliver the POD there, no problem.
When I called to have the filled POD picked up for storage I was first told that where I originally had arranged storage is not where they had recorded. Even though I had gone over and over with them where we needed it stored. Then, they decided to tell me they couldn't guarantee that our new home was within their "delivery zone", which was NEVER told to me during the initial order. It's nowhere on their site as well.
Had I known that certain zip codes were excluded from delivery, I NEVER would have ordered the POD. I told them we would empty the POD and to have them come pick it up. For our fun and enjoyment of packing a POD we couldn't use, we got hit with a deliver and pick up fee (fine, they actually performed those services) and a 1 month storage fee that we NEVER used.
Honestly, from reading other reviews, I believe they are purposely vague until pick up is arranged. It's ridiculously expensive in the long run and NOT worth it. Avoid!
