I called to have my hair cut at ibi salon and was told it would be $110. When I arrived at the salon, I instructed the stylist, Mallory, VERBALLY and PHYSICALLY where I wanted my hair cut and how much I wanted cut off (six inches).
She first started by "trimming" my hair. After she colored the bottom half of my hair, the stylist informed me that I needed to color the top half because it was UN-even (never gave a price). During the last part of the color, the owner kept walking around the salon saying how I was "difficult, " "complicated, " and wanted "too many colors." I assume if you are paying someone to do your hair, and they are making money, why are they complaining? Even the stylist, Mallory, said that she was crazy and always loomed over all the stylists.
After cutting more of my hair off saying, "I have to even it out" the stylist turned me around in the chair so that I couldn't see the back, or her cutting. She kept informing me that it was "longer in the back" but never gave me a mirror to show me. I asked for a bang trim as well but was rushed out of the salon after my blow dry and the owner TURNED THE AC OFF for AN HOUR!!! I got up out of the chair in a pool of my own sweat!
I was then told that I needed to pay $180!!! Way too much for a wash, cut, touch up color and blow dry! Upon leaving the salon I felt the back of my hair and it was all gone! Over a foot of my hair was gone! I rushed back crying to see if they could fix it and they shut all the lights off!
I tried calling the next day to see if I could come in and get my hair fixed but was greeted with the owner saying a harsh, "You need to pay for a cut, wash, and style!" Then the owner hung up on me! I had to go to another salon the next day and get my bangs fixed and more hair on the right side cut off because it was STILL UN-even!
I really wished this place knew what it was doing, because then I could have donated my hair to Locks of Love, if I REALLY wanted it THAT short!
