I have been trying to cancel this "savings program" for a couple months now; I don't even know how they got my credit card. I needed to cancel the original card # that they grabbed a few months ago for an unrelated fraud matter; I thought that the Galleria charge would drop off after they tried to charge a nonexistent number.
NOPE! It carried over to the new card... That tells me that Citibank (my card issuer) is somehow feeding them the information.
I am told that I can cancel online. Okay... Except they want a member ID. Which I do not have seeing as I never received the "welcome packet" that contains this. I call, and am told that my info is not in their system (funny, you seem to have enough info to KEEP CHARGING ME). I dispute the charge with Citi (stating that I wanted to cancel it) and include all the hoops that I had to jump through. The last time I tried to call the number listed for them on my CC statement it gave me a voicemail loop.
So I receive a dispute credit for the previous billing cycle... Only to have it pop up AGAIN as a new charge. What was the point of the dispute then?
