I worked there for a significant period of time. They force you to lie to clients, other employees, and in addition to friends and family, anyone else you may come accross. I did very well there but in the end was still screwed over. Thousands of dollars down the drain that was rightfully mine, and yet they come up with any and every possible excuse as to why they are cutting your commission. They claim to have a professional atmosphere but it is anything but. They force you to dress professional but proceed to cuss like sailors around the office and make negative racial comments as jokes on a daily basis, and if anyone bothered to speak up about the sexual harrassment around the place, there would be lawsuit after lawsuit! I am not going to list names or specific incidents or events in fear of retaliation from somebody who may recognize my situation and cause future trouble for me. Seems to me as though they are trying to portray an honest company, with only the utmost respectable employees, but instead its comprised of low life drug addicts, alcoholics, and scumbags. If the people at the top would only do their jobs and monitor what goes on in that place, maybe they would be able to identify the individuals who are causing this company to have such a bad rep with potential clients, potential future employees, and anyone else who may be beneficial to the marcus evans companies. From my experience, and without naming names, I would begin with the Chicago office and start by weeding out the bad seeds with the exception of maybe one good management seed in the office, and start rebuilding bridges with potential clients who've been lied to, along with rebuilding the marcus evans reputation. The people who hold executive level positions may find it hard to weed out employees who may have done well over the time period theyve worked there, however in the long run it will only look bad on the guys at the top if they continue allowing this mayhem to continue.
