Lizette and christiana called on Jan. 12, claiming to be Publishers Clearing House (I asked to clarify this several times), asking wouldn't I want to win an SUV or $25,000.
After saying the offer of the auto or cash several times they slipped into the slickest sales pitch imaginable, and tried for $19.95 an month for 48 months, sometimes it appeared dovetailing prerecorded inserts into the conversation.
Immediately after the call I called my credit card to block the company, which was quickly trying to put $19.95 and also $39.95 on my card.
The number they'd called from did not answer and I wrote several letters to my company and to vendors, sending back packages, (and keeping tracking numbers), which immediately began coming.
Finally, on Feb 6, I received a letter from Metro Tele stating they had made a second call to confirn the order. This was a provable lie, as I have receipts and letters dated immediately after the original call, and will submit copies to you if needed.
