First bill over $50 instead of advertised $29.99 per month

I received an ad in the mail for Direct TV free installation and $29.99 per month for 12 months. My first bill was over $50 and I cannot get a decent response. I emailed explaining I wanted the service disconnected. Unfortunately - I expect this will end up going on my credit report as an unpaid bill. I will never deal with Direct TV again!!
