Today an annoying Verizon 20/20 rep came to my door and was relentless in arguing why I need to change my cable service to their FIOS. I must have stood there 20 minutes as he seemed to have a rebuttal each time I insisted I was happy with my current service and don't want to change anything. I repeatedly told him I don't want their service, I had it before and changed to another company. I don't want to be bothered with their FIOS contract and early termination fees. He insisted that they don't do contracts anymore or charge termination fees. I was under a lot of stress from this point on and I agreed to sign on. Later however, I felt lied to after I found out on Verizon's website they still do 2-yr contracts and termination fees. So now I must call a supervisor to stop the order. I don't want a technician here next week, I won't open the door to them. I don't want my service changed. Any reputable company should respect the wishes of a consumer, not use high pressure sales tactics or lie about the fees.
