Volkswagen has violated me.in this struggling economy Berge Volkswagen has decided that a trap now, devour later approach to car sales is the secret to economic sustainability. I would love to prove to them that this is bad business. Throughout the month of December I visited Berge Volkswagen a couple times in an attempt to produce an agreement that suited the needs of my family and me. After rounds of tiresome negotiating the sales team finally put together an offer that seemed feasible. My salesmens wiser sidekick claimed to have called Volkswagen, my lien holder, and supposedly negotiated a lower payoff on my trade-in. I was worried about the bottom line; however, my sales super duo assured me the agreement was sound.
On December 30 I signed the final paper work.in January I made my first payment and received a letter from Volkswagen stating my trade-in vehicle had been paid off.in February I made my next payment. As a continuing customer even Volkswagen can attest to my years of loyal and prompt payments. As a reward for my loyalty Volkswagen called me and said that they made a mistake estimating the pay-off of my trade-in and I need to give them $1900. Of course I was extremely upset and said that I would like my old car back. The voice on the other end of the line immediately recoiled and told me not to worry.
Three weeks later I received another call from Volkswagen, this time from a manager. I was told that I cannot have my old car back, I cannot null the previous agreement, and I need to give them $1668 immediately.initially I refused and demanded my old car back, but to no avail; this voice was unwavering. I reluctantly agreed to their outrageous demands. I figured if I agreed to play ball they would at least allow me to make payments on the unforeseen expense. After all, I am a school teacher with a family and a limited income. Volkswagen denied my request and is currently holding my registration hostage until my new debt has been paid. When I called them liars and accused them of taking advantage of me they quoted me the contract I signed and said this is just good business.
