Bank Rep. Gave me wrong info

On 2-7-10 late or early on 2-8, I called Point Loma Credit Union - Call Center, I spoke to a male representative and I identified myself as the account holder. I requested from the bank rep. The routing and account number that would be on my check (I had ran out of checks). I made my self very clear to this bank rep. That I needed the correct information because I needed it for my income tax to be direct deposit. I was assured the correct information was given. I trusted this person that represented my bank and gave the info. To my tax prep. Per the IRS my refund was direct deposited as of 2-19-10, wonderful right - NO not for me *surprise the account number given to me by the bank representative was WRONG and now my money is in la la land. As said to me by the bank manager Janet Jones. She calls me a valued customer but, I am not being treated as one - I have to prove without a reasonable doubt that I spoke to one of there reps and prove that they gave me the wrong info and all they will do is talk to the rep!!! So now I will be getting a check mailed to me within 3 weeks or more depending on the IRS backlog. I asked the bank manager that I needed the bank to also step up to the plate and pay my late fees for I need to pay my rent no later then the 3rd and I was given a flat NO. She didnt even ask how much it was or we will see nothing, for the Big inconvenience done to me... I am suppose to trust this people with my money and I am a valued customer - how is that so and what can I do about this... If anything besides going to a different bank.
