SDI Technologies, Inc. Defective USB Nano receiver

I purchased a pink Susan G Komen wireless laser mouse on 12/21/09 for $39.99. Within 3 weeks the USB Nano receiver broke into 3 pieces while removing from laptop for transport.

Returned the defective receiver to place of purchase - Office Depot - on 1/13/10, but told they couldn't do anything because their return policy is 14 days on electronic/computer hardware. I was told to contact manufacturer for replacement.

Went on internet and found contact information. Called life-works and was told I needed to send picture of mouse and the broken pieces and copy of receipt. This was sent on 1/21 and again on 1/25 because I never received reply of any type that they had received the requested information or what was going to be done.

I have called 4 times as of today - 3/23/09 - and asked when something was going to be done about replacing the receiver. I know they have my information because when they ask for my name they recite back to me almost verbatim what was sent in the original email.

I have asked to speak with a manager the last 2 times and keep being told one isn't available now and someone will call me back. Hasn't happened. Also told the problem would be elevated and should get receiver within a week. That was 3 weeks ago and again today. We'll see.

I'll never purchase from this company again and tell everyone about the lousy customer service and lack of support for their products.
