Complaint / Review
Town and Country Ford
Evansville, IN Easycare warranty terms INVALID

The Easy care warranty I purchased last year was misrepresented to say the least and I am able to provide proof of the mistake. I tried to call the dealership and the certain dealer that we bought our vehicle from, and lucky enough, he wont return my calls. I have also sent one letter with no response, not even a phone call. I will now send one last letter in hopes this will be resolved out of court. Well, about a week ago, I got a call from a different dealership, a discount center for the same company, asking if I was interested in doing business with a guy named Josh again??? It was a girl at the dealership I guess doing code calls. When I spoke to her, I let her know that we were happy with our van, but that we would NEVER do business again with Josh or Town and Country FordEVER. Dealing with this guy was nothing but trouble and manipulation from the start. He took advantage of me and my family. I was pregnant at the time, and he knew we were desperate to buy a minivan. We were very nervous, not having to do this by ourselves until now, and the dealership made me feel so uncomfortable. They offered us a lifetime power train warranty, which was fine and all, but then asked us what we would do if something else broke down. It got my husband and I thinking all the what ifs. So, he offered us an extended warranty to cover us bumper to bumper for 4 years or 80,000 miles. I was fine with that, but he also stated we could pick when this contract started, either at the end of our loan or the beginning. I thought that was beneficial, so I stated that would be great coverage for the end of the term of the loan because the vehicle would be getting older and need more attention. I have been doing my research on how to cancel this warranty plan because it was falsely represented to two nervous parents wanting to provide a reliable vehicle for their children. Town and Country Ford took advantage of us and I am not going to stand by and let this happen. We just got back on our feet from moving and settling in with our large family, and I was going through paperwork and was reading over the contract. Well, I found a mistake on it that shows false representation of the coverage.in the box that reads Plan Type, see section F, it reads (MAXIMUM MILEAGE) NEW, but our vehicle was not new. It states it would start on contract purchase date AND zero miles. SO, if I am reading this correctly, it is stating that I would have bought my vehicle brand new and my warranty started on 0 miles. BUT, we bought our vehicle USED and we bought it at 60,952, so which would mean we would only have less than 20,000 miles to use on the warranty if it is only good for 80,000 or four years starting from 0 miles. I know it has been over a year since we purchased this vehicle, but with the call I got last week, it got me thinking about our horrible experience once again. Like I said, I have tried calling this Josh guy for a while now with no response, maybe I should have gone directly to the owner of Town and Country Ford?
