I am a very hard working and dedicated employee at Walgreens. I have been with the company for almost eight and a half years. I am currently in the store team lead position and I hate it. I have to do twice the work of the assistant managers since, aside from doing management duities, I also have to track all of the inventory, do all of the pricing, check in vendors, and so much more. To add insult to injury, I don't get paid anything close to what the assistant managers do. Yet, I still come to work every day and do my job as thurogh and effeciently as possible. Since moving up to the store team lead position, I have been cussed out by an employee because I told her to straighten the store and she didnt want to. She claimed that all I was doing was sitting on my ass in the office when, in fact, I was in the office entering scan out data into the as-400. I do not sit in the office because I am lazy, If I am in there, I am doing something. Recently, we have gotten a new EXA who happens to be related to one of the nearby DMs. She seems to think she is God's gift to the store and is constantly giving me dirty looks. The store manager has told me that everytime I am not in the EXA's line of sight she asks the store manager "What is she doing?" as though she thinks that I am not doing any work. I am getting fed up with her attitude with me. Just because I am not setting an aisle of doing fullcase all the time doesn't mean I am not busy. Many of my duities seem to be unseen and I am extremly underappreciated. If I have been with Walgreens for eight years, then oviously I am good at my job. I have wanted to, for some time now, move up to an assistant manager position. My store manager thinks that I would excell in the position. However, I can not move to that position because I have a vision problem that makes it where I am not allowed to drive. I think it is unfair to pass over me for a promotion just because I don't drive. I have worked for Walgreens for so long and I truely do enjoy working for the company. However, I feel that I may not have the stamina to go on for much longer being treeted like shit by the employees and managers. Somethings gotta change or I will look for other employment opportunities.
