On02/03/10 I was opening my chase account when a pop up from genevawatch appeared inviting me to take part in a survey for chase customers for which I stood to win one of their watches valued at $88.99 for a payment of only $1.00 and $4.99 shipping and handling charges. I completed the survey and authorized payment of the two amounts of $1.00 and $4.99 which were the debited to my account. Imagine my consternation when I opened my account today only to find that $88.99 had been debited to my account by genevawatch. It then dawned on me that the whole thing was a scam all along and that I had fallen victim to fraudulent and deceptive marketing. My attempts to contact their customer service was unsuccessful as i was told my call could not be completed. My email to genevawatch.com could also not go through as that address was not recognized. Can a lawyer take up this and similar cases which I am sure are many and file a class action suit which is the only way to stop these fraudsters?
