MyGenevaWatch.com used dishonest practices to Rip Me Off! I received a pop-up that appeared to be from my internet provider. It said that it was a survey for the provider and that I was entitled to a free gift for taking the survey.
After filling out the survey, I was awarded a free Geneva watch. All I had to do was pay $3.99 for shipping. However, after I filled out the form, the shipping was raised to $4.99. I tried to close the form without completing it, but a new shipping price was offered at $2.99. I completed the form and ordered the watch. So far, so good. I saw no mention of any other charges or terms.
The next day I noticed two charges on my account: $2.99 and $1.00. I received a watch about a week later. It was not a quality watch, but almost worth the $3.99 I was charged. A little research showed they would continue to take money from my account every month.
However, one week later another charge of $88.98 appeared on my account. I called the customer service number several times... But was never able to talk to anyone. I immediately went to my bank to put a stop on any further charges from this company and filed a report. My bank will refund my money, but I doubt they will be able to deal with this company... As it is a complete scam.
