Chase bank atm malfunctioned, gave me no money, but debited my account

After work I went over to the Chase Bank ATM outside Pioneer Square in Downtown Portland. I am a US Bank customer, but I needed to pay a bill. I used the ATM outside to request $300 from my account. The machine kept trying to issue money but none came out. Then the screen went blank and it came up and said it had malfunctioned. I requested to have my card back and looked at the reciept to make sure it didn't subtract the debit. It hadn't, so I went to the inside ATM to use a different one. This new ATM reported that it had debited the $300 out of my account.

I went to tell the customer service girl, but she just shrugged and said, "That happens all the time with that ATM. You have to call your bank since you don't have a Chase account." I had to call my bank and report an account discrepancy over and over again, go through massive amounts of paperwork... And they still have not called me to return the money that was debited off my account. Thanks Chase, Merry Christmas!
