Representatives of Mark Mazda made repeated phone calls toTracey Morrison in order to persuade her to use his loan modification services. After reviewing her case of 4 mortgages against her home, they stated that shequalified under a hardship program.
Tracey was told she was guaranteed to get her loans modified & orsubstantially reduced.in addition, that she was assured of success because ofMark Mazda's special relationship with "Aurora Loan Services"-whichservices Tracey's primary mortgage.
However, they encouraged her to get started by charging her $500 on a creditcard, then Mark Mazda's rep's followed up with phone calls to spend another$3000 before they would proceed to modify Tracey's loan.
Tracey was instructed to rush all of her mortgage paper work by expressdelivery... That she was supposed to receive back but never did. Furthermore, Tracey was told not to pay Aurora loan Services by Mark Mazda'sRepresentatives in order to force them to negotiate. Tracey later contactedAurora Loan Services & discovered that her loan was in default because MarkMazda did not pursue any loan modifcation. What type of case isthis? HomeLoan Modification Corp aka HomeOwners Law Group, LLPcontacted Tracey Morrison by phone to see if she was interested in saving herhome by getting a home loan modification program that was sold with a money-backguarantee if Tracey did not qualify for a home loan modification.
Tracey was suspicious so she told the HomeLoan Modification Corp that she had atotal of four mortgages against her house in order to raise capital to repairthe flood damage caused a flooded river.
HomeLoan Modification Corp stated that she definitely had a hardship case &that she needed to take action immediately by paying Mark Mazda $500 &filling out the required forms & paper work.
This was allegedly needed by Mark Mazda so he could effectively negotiate aloan mod before the foreclosure process started, which he was aware that it wasgetting close. Tracey was also told by HomeLoan Modification Corp, if AuroraLoan Services started foreclosure proceedings that it would be too late forMark Mazda to do any loan modification for her.
Before Tracey decides to pay Mark Mazda any monies she Googles his firm aka, HomeLoanModification Corp & HomeOwners Law Group, LLP to seeif there is any consumer complaints filed against him or any of his companiesthat he represents or allegedly owns. Tracey finds no complaints filed anywhereagainst Mark Mazda or the companies he represents. How did Tracey chooseMark Mazda as Attorney?
In fact, that was one of the sales pitches his office used to sell Mark Mazda'shome loan modification service. No complaints & being classified ornominated as a Super Lawyer in California. This was claimed by his officeby referring home loan modification prospects to a website showing Mark Mazdawith the glorified title of being a super lawyer in California. When did TraceyMorrison hire & meet Mark Mazda the attorney over the phone?
Tracey took the bait then swallowed hook line & sinker by using her creditcard to pay Mark Mazda $500 in May & then was told she had to payanother $2500 on May 27 using credit card #0000-0000-0000-7345 (DiscoverCard of 1-800-347-2683 issued under Mark S) before he would contact& start negotiating with any of the mortgage companies or lien holders. Note: $500 was paid as a down payment to HomeLoan ModificationCorp & or HomeOwners Law Group, LLP using credit card#0000-0000-0000-2436 at&t Universal Card in May. Citibank of1-800-925-8871 FAX 605-330-6780 has a record of the statement but refuses torelease it to me because Im no longer an authorized user under my friends Citibankaccount Mark S (soc sec #0000-00-3784) which has now been closed. What Mark Mazda agreed & guaranteed hisHome Loan Modification service to do? Mark Mazda aka HomeLoan Modification Corp claims they canreduce the principal on all 4 mortgages & lower the interest rate whilechanging the primary mortgage from an adjustable rate to a fixed rate. Basically our total monthly payment would now only be atotal of up to $1100 for all four mortgages! I was told that if the loans werenot negotiated that all of my monies would be refunded. This was a verbalagreement over the phone. Tracey signs a power of attorney as requested by MarkMazda's office then shortly receives a notice of default on her front doorstep. She panics & immediately contacts Mark Mazda's office to discoverwhat's going on. She was told not to panic & then she receives anothernotice. Tracey is now forced to request a forbearance plan with Aurora LoanServices to prevent foreclosure proceedings. After being referred by HomeLoan Modification Corp to HomeOwnersLaw Group, LLP both of which were owned by Mark Mazda. HomeOwnersLaw Group, LLP now makes a determination that Traceys case or loan modificationnow falls under a third category that has potential for some type of relief. She is now forced to sign another request to represent her case after MarkMazda & his office failed to contact or negotiate with Aurora LoanServices! Mark Mazda excuse was that Tracey never authorized him to work on hercase even though he received payment in full of $2995! Additionally, he now says he wont guarantee any type ofrelief even though he failed to negotiate with Aurora Loan Services! Furthermore he states that he would not proceed until I signed another agreement/documentwaiving my rights to a refund & verbally says if I dont sign the new document that I still wont receive a full refund!
In other words after being told by Mark Mazda's office to stop paying AuroraLoan services any money so he could negotiate a better loan modification. Oneof the reasons Tracey hired Mark Mazda was to stop paying any money to Auroraloan services so could stay financially afloat & rebuild her funds whileawaiting a home loan modification that never happened.
Tracey never received any letters or communication from Mark Mazda or hisoffice proving that he was negotiating any home loan modification with any ofthe four lien holders! No proofs such as return receipt letters were everreceived.
When Tracey later confronted Mark Mazda about her case he simply stated that norefund would be issued & that virtually every bank was virtually rejectingany home loan mod. Mark simply said that this was out of his control & thathe invested many hours on her case even though he promised a money backguarantee.
I got ripped Off by Mark Mazda via HomeLoan Modification Corp aka HomeOwnersLaw Group, LLP. Basically it appears he was running a boiler room operation tocollect as much money as possible from unsuspecting homeowners with nointention of ever delivering a quality home loan modification.
Now another Home Owner Bites the Financial Dust because of the Obama Home LoanMod Sham. The Obama Sham Scam.
