Modern Gas is currently price gouging! They have been charging me $2.81 a gallon for propane while my neighbors have been paying 2.01. I cannot understand why they are charging such an increased amount from their competeitors.
I have changed companies and I am paying $1.99 a gallon. Modern received a check from LiHeap on my behalf and in less than a month blew threw all the funds. They are taking advantage of people and they will be seeing a huge decrease with their accounts. I personally have refered 5 customers to my new company and they are all changing over. Those 5 will tell others and there will be more to come. They should be ashamed of themselves. Not only are they always rude on the phone BUT they refused to deliver more than 100 gallons at a time to me UNTIL they received $620 from the state then they came 2x in one month and used all the money intended to pull me through the season.
My new company came and took the propane out of the Modern tanks and put it in theirs I am locked in at $1.99 until 7/10. Even if they increase the price it wont be as bad as Modern!!!
Stay away from them they are gouging!!!
