I moved out of my apartment on October 1. I did not submit paperwork to City Light to close my account.
I received an invoice in December for the old apartment, and, not paying attention, I paid $34.10.
I received a new invoice on January 31, for $55.90. I contacted City Light, and customer service told me that it is policy that they do not amend their records as far back to October, so I cannot receive a refund, and that they will send me a closing statement so I will probably owe a portion of the $55.90.
I contacted the management for the apartment, and he told me that he did send notice to City Light that my account is closed as of October 1.
