Spm, Llc - Easehouse
Warning living here may cause death

This email to the company will explain everything:

to whom it may concern: i want to express my anger toward what has happened in the place my grandmother has lived for so many years and thought that she would be safe in emergency situations. We understood that the easehouse was being able to live independently but if an emergency should arise help would be downstairs to at least open the door for paramedics should they be called. Sunday around 2:20 A.M. My grandmother (who barely could speak any words) called my aunt to say she was having trouble breathing and pushed her life alert. My aunt called the paramedics. I know the front desk worker (contract worker) called my grandmother from the report which only stated my grandmother was having trouble breathing. My aunt also called the front desk to make them aware the paramedics were coming. The paramedics rushed to her door which was locked and was unable to enter. One paramedic went downstairs (assuming asking for the key). Employee did not get up even when my aunt arrived. My aunt told the paramedic i have a key so they ran upstairs to my grandmother fighting for her life. I am not sure how long the paramedics had to stand at the door while the employee still sitting behind a desk.

a couple of days later we went and met with the easehouse to which they responded 'it is policy for the resident to call 911 and to unlock the door'. This place is for elderly people that fall, heart attacks, and other medical problems. How can you open a door??? The office constantly shouted policies at us to which they could not produce any documentation. When asked for the documentation they denied they ever said anything about policy but there were witnesses and those are flat out lies.in these sort of situations seconds count. My grandmother died january 26 at 10:15 pm.

it just breaks my heart that my grandmother was laying on her bed alone and help was outside if they could have only entered but susan was to busy sitting at her desk. My grandmother was the best person in the world and would have given anyone anything. I would like to express my concern of the type of business your company runs and its employees.
