I purchased a SanDisk 16GB micro SD HC for use with my SanDisk Sansa View 8GB from a seller on e-bay. After 2 months the card stoped working and I contacted SanDisk customer support to have it fixed they refused.
After escalating the issue to a manager their final response was that they would not warranty the product because it was not brand new at the time I purchased it.
The manager I talked to (via chat) was named Bryan Ojha and he referenced some policy which I could not find on their web site and denied my claim.
I pointed out that these 16GB cards have not even been available for 5 years yet so it could not be out of warranty but he said that because the e-bay listing from the seller did not state that the product was NEW that SanDisk would not honor the warranty.
So... Buyer beware SanDisk will not honor their warranty if your product is not BRAND NEW in the ORIGINAL PACKAGING when you purchase it.
