Perini takes advantage of the unemployed

Ok, what was stated in the other post is all correct. All I can add is that it may actually be legal. You apply, they send you a response saying you meet the qualifications.
Then they send you another email saying the next step is to go to a url and take a test. They say more than once that they weigh very heavily on the test and not to take it litely. They then say that Featherton has a study guide that can help but they are in no way affiliated with Featherton (I think they are). You go Featherton and find out that you have to pay for the study guide.
So, you know that if you don't do well, you won't be considered. The price is only $14.99 so you justify the price. Here is the twist. You don't have to buy it, but you do because you want to make sure you pass the test. You actually get something for your money so it probably isn't illegal, just kinda scummy.
Now, is there an actual job? I don't know. They say that you will be notified within 5 to 7 days what your test results are. It has been almost three weeks for me now and nothing. This Peter Johnson that is supposed to be the recruiter now has a full email box and cannot receive any more. The phone just rings busy now, and when it did answer it was a very unprofessional voice (old lady or drunk).
So, I contacted the Sylmar CA Chamber of Commerce and spoke with the VP and he said that he couldn't find a business license, a fictitious business name or DBA, or a contractors license for Perini. Just like me, he couldn't find anything other than job opportunities, and the previous rip off report, which wasn't out yet when I did my research.
So, while it is probably legal as far as buying the study guide, I don't think there is actually any jobs, especially across every job board in multiple states. This is where I think the illegality is, although the study guide and test thing is a pretty scummy way to take advantage of out of work people fighting to survive.
I have also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, which has no listing of Perini, so maybe the next guy won't get burned.
