My daughter worked for Burger King and filed a sexual harassment charge against one of the managers, Jeff. He denied the initial charge but later said that he did indeed say those things to my daughter. She continued to work but was told that she would not have to work with Jeff, but that was not a big deal as he was being transferred.
He was not transferred in the time span that was given to use an a meeting with Burger King officials. We were told that he was also given an reprimand. She was scheduled to work with him but I told her to call in and say she was not coming in becuase he was the manager. One time they said he was going to be off at 11 to come in then but he in all actuallity got off at 5. She did not work that day. She called and asked to have her schedule changed, they said they would but never did.in August of the 2002 she was fired because she said "Hell". Ok not the best thing.
She had friends up there so when se wanted a soda she returned. One night she was on the parking lot and the assistant manager came out and told her to leave she was not wanted on the premisis. Not real sure of why. She left. On Halloween night she went to Burger King to get a soda and a hamburger. Her order was taken and and her money was taken but they said it would be a while to pullup and wait. When she did a cop pulled in behind her and arrested her for tresspassing.
When i got there the cop said that Burger King had the right to refuse service to anyone.in the mean time they had brought the food out to her car! So service was not refused. The cop then said that she had been notified not to be on the premises of Burger King or she would be arrested for trespassing. To make a long story shorter we filled with the EEOC for Missouri. She was never officially notified by burger King concerning trespassing.
Every since the sexual harassement she was kept from working because of the scheduling. Since she was fired several people have been customers and heard the help cursing while working and these people are still employeed. One person filed a complaint it was so bad. I suppose I want to let all the parents of girls that work in the fast food business that there are sexual predators out there and the companies fail to notice and do anything about it. The State of Missouri found no evidence of wrong doing but they sent us copies of affidavits that were lies. So what can a person do?
