Deceptive Practices, Dishonesty with Disclosing all procedures dealing with land contracts. Beware! Obtain a Lawyer, What happened to Honesty

Let Me Began by saying
I do not pride myself or measure myself by my wealth, or what I may own. I will say I have great pride in myself when it comes to performance and trying to the best of my of my ability to stand up to my word. I do believe a person has to have made a jesture mentally and emotionally, before it becomes fact, and materialize into reality. It a nutshell, your value should not just be by what you materialistically own, but by your selfworth, and the intergrity of what you voice and speak from your mind and heart.
Now to what's my agenda. I ventured into a land Deal, and was very sucessful in making all my payments to the owner on and before the due date of each month. (I must say, He was a Godsend and a good hearted person, and took a chance on us.), I faithfully paid, until my wife and I decided that we would like to make this our place of perminent residency, and persued to obtain the purchase of a modualar, i.E., manufacture home through Clayton Homes, which is located in Farmville, VA.
From the beginning, the sales person, i. E, persons, went through the procedure to let me know of what they had, and proceeded to let me know what finanicing is available to us. As we were on a set amount that we could afford, we opt for the smaller home to put on our land, which is located in Appomattox county, in Virginia. During the process, I was told, to let them handle the paperwork, and all will be fine.
I did just that, not knowing what was to come, when all was said and done.
I filled out all the necessary paperwork, I Complied with every requirement, even down to getting my home leased out to a renter in order to release the funds from being set off so that on the paperwork it would state that we are not obligated to pay the said amount every month for an exisiting home we had. The Loan Officer gave us advice on how to do this, so we complied, leagally, and turned in the lease, with all signatures, showing we had someone to move in and take over the payments. The Loan officer said, via, email, which I kept all correspondents and replies to and from Her and I, and well of others associated within the same Mortgage Company.
Givning me their word, I then proceeded to have the Electric, connected, which tooks weeks, to contacted the right county, due to the change of boundery lines in each county. I put in time and long hours in the heat of summer to build a deck, which I again invested approx. Another $1,000.00, not including the gas of $100.00, each time I came up to work on the deck and made sure all was secure around the property. I keep in contact with Clayton to convey when I started, and when I was completed with the work, to all but have the codes and compliance officer have them tear what I worked so hard at, down. I didn't understand that, as no one told me until after the fact, about certain stipulations in which had to be passed in order for the deck to be deamed up-to-code. This too was a blow to my wife and I. I still have the picture on the beginning and the ending of the work on the deck. The before and after before the home was set up. This is hard for me to just write, as I invested all that I had into this land, and good faith, and took Claytons word that they would follow through on the financing of our home, i. E, land contract, Now that I know after consulting with several lawyers that Clayton had us unknowingly to us signed documents, which we did not understand that the procedure was more complicated than anticipated and should have consulted with a Lawyer before hand.in some eyes, it would not amount to much as far as homes goes, but to my wife and I, it meant the difference of having our own place to retire, or spend our time paying someone else rent.
Clayton Homes did not tell me that my commute would cause the underwriters to decline my loan. I submitted a letter from my employer as to why I would have to commut to and from work, this did and would not have affected my ability to pay for my mortgage, I was able to pay, I turned in all my paperwork, I was up front and honest with everything. I disclosed all that I knew, and in the end, They declined me because of a commute?
In all my 26 years of working, I've never heard of this, and I owned my home for 15 years, prior to this venture. All I know is that, I treat others as I want to be treated, the old fashion way, Honesty, Intergrity and knowing that you would get the same in return.
Now I Lost my first home, because Clayton didn't keep thier word. I had to return the funds to the renters, in turn, through me off by 3 grand, which caused me to fall behind on my mortage, which cause my credit score to drop, which made me unable to aquire the financing I needed to obtain my home, in Appomattox County, VA, which I put all that I had as funds goes... I can't go on, too much. I'm soon to be 50, and now Im in an apartment, with no houuse, no land, and in limbo.
I Can Say, I believe God is the Keeper of my Soul, I'm a hard worker, I stick to what I do best, and having be doing so at the same job for the past 26 years, I've had my ups and downs, but never have anyone told my that I was lousey or dishonest in all my years at my job. My actions speak for me, ask my employer, ask my family, ask my friends, ask the courts that I have sat on when I was called to do jury duty. My records is spotless when it comes to criminal background, my record is excellent when it comes to work habit and job longevity, however, I've made my share of finaincial mistakes, haven't we all? But one mistake I never made was, being dishonest, being a liar, or not treating others as I would like to be treated. I named no names, because, I know you know already, to whom I speak of.
I would like to say one thing, those at Clayton Homes, and the affiliates in which dealt with our home, in Appomattox County, VA., Where is your honesty? Where is your moral value, what happen to Intergrity? Does it not exist anymore? I trusted you, I gave you all I had. If the shoe was on your foot? What would you do? This is your chance to prove that there is good in this world, and the good doesn't always finish last...
