I attempted to rent a vehicle with the Budget office at the Airport in Kahalui Maui managed by Mr. Celebrato. I was told that becuase I was under the age of 25 and not on military orders I would be required to pay the underage fee. I told him he was incorrect that as being military over the age of 21 I didn't need to be on orders and could rent at the quoted rate. I was told I was incorrect and would need to rent a vehicle or leave the office. I called customer service to complain and they said that I was correct and they would contact the office to inform manager. I walked back into the office and waited in line for 20 minutes and when I finally reached the counter they told me I would either have to pay the underage fee or rebook under a non-leisure fee that was double the original quoted price. I refused to pay that and demanded the manager contact customer service to resolve the issue and he denied the request and said I could take it up with corporate if I like. Then I was told to either rent a vehicle or to leave the office. Mr. Celebrato is the man to avoid when in Maui. Rent with any other company and make poor customer service hit companies where it hurts.
