I was working for Gabel Water Systems as a telemarketer. I did pretty well at it, and eventually became the manager of the telemarketing room. The time came where I got burned out from constantly being hung up on/cussed at and I decided to leave. I left the company with proper notice, and on peaceful terms.

About two months later, the owner called me at home, telling me that she had not been able to get a good person in since I left. She asked if I would consider coming back. I was working at Best Buy at the time, and told her that I would work there part-time in addition to my Best Buy schedule. She agreed.

After a few weeks of that, I decided it was not working out. I left again. When I came in the next week to pick up my final check, the owner pulled me into her office. She said that I had destroyed several of her sets of leads (phone numbers). She said that she was going to take me to court over destruction of company property. She eventually brought more and more people in, and bullied me into not taking my paycheck.

My friend who worked there (who also happened to be there at the time) went through many hoops to get his paycheck. He did not get intimidated like I did, and eventually got his check, after a month and a half of badgering her. I know of many people that did not recieve paychecks while I worked there.

Bottom line, do not do business with, or work for Mary Gabel, owner of Gabel Water Systems.
