On 1/26/06 as I pulled into my driveway, I noticed a bag hanging on my mailbox. All other mailboxes in the neighborhood had these bags as well. The bag contained a test vile and a form. When I started reading the form, it was asking questions about the quality of our water. My water does have a strong odor of clorhine, so I assumed that the City of Concord hired a company to collect water samples due to numerous complaint of the odor in our water, so I filled out the form and filled the vile with tap water.
The next day, my wife received a phone call from Carolina Water Systems and she was told that numerous people in the neighborhood complained about the water. This individual told my wife that he would like to send someone out on 1/30/06 for further testing. 1/30/06 showed up and I got a phone call by this company around 5:30 P. M and said an individual will be at my house about 6:00 P.M. For this analysis.
Something told me to check with this company, so I checked the internet and found out Carolina Water Systems is a dealer for Rainsoft water products. I called Carolina Water Systems with the number provided on their website and told them not to come over and I was not happy with their sales tatics. The indivdual was real rude to me at this point and basically hung up on me.
In my opinion, this company uses the front of being a municipal water official to lead you to believe you have dangerous toxins in your water so they can get into your home. They never mentioned they were a private company that sells water treatment products when they talk to you on the phone. This company is also being reported on WSOC TV here in Charlotte, NC on 2/6/06 about their sales tatics.
