I have a four-year in-home warranty that does not expire until 2011. I cannot get the software to reload on the crashed hard drive so I can get up and going again. It was preloaded. My local shop says just to trash the $1700 system bought 1.5 years ago. The Vista programs and Microsoft Office were preloaded. I cannot recover any of them even though Gateway placed the numbers on the case. I am sick because i am a writer and lost 3 books. I can recover them but will have to buy anew computer. Is this right? MPC does not answer. Gateway now automatically says I have called before when I dial in and to contact MPC but the phone and internet address and email are discontinued.
