Was told they had pre-approved buyer for my property, took $1697.00 and will not return calls

I ws contacted by AMG to sell my property as they had several pre-approved buyers. Sent me contract. I edited the contract to state that "should AMG not be able to close on the unit within 4 months the full amount will be refunded to you upon request". They charged me $1697.00 and now will not return my calls.
