So here's the story behind these con artists, the scam I have endured, and the hassle I have received first hand. My husband, after much asking on my behalf went ahead and let me order their product. We strategically ordered with a card that had just enough money to pay for the product and it's shipping because my husband was leary that it was a scam... If only I had trusted his instinct.
Anyway, I called, after hearing the details, I declined their offer. Then the timeshare offers for free vacations came rolling out. After they kept me on the phone for an additional 15 minutes, I politely said no, and got off the phone. Three days later, I received a cal back from a "manager" my husband predicted this, said that it was going to happen as a part of fear of loss sales. When they called, the overall price of the product was reduced by 33% as a "One time courtesy". I bit on this, it was a better deal. I gave them the card number. Then we waited... And waited.
We asked for express shipping after 2 weeks we called to check our order status, were given a different number to call, and after reaching this customer service branch, was informed that the order never processed. When I asked why, their response was that my card was declined Upon checking my card I saw 38 drafts by their company, an initial for 14.99, and each follow on charge for $1. After calling back, I was given a fax number, no response, called back, given run around, no results.
I will be going to my states attorney general, and my states securities commission. We are also going to the army jag department later this week, these people have defrauded myself, and my husband. If anyone from this wretched company reads this I hope to see a rebuttal, and please explain in it how it's justified to steal from a 4 time combat veteran.
