Bank Of America
Bofa overdraft charges rip

I went on a trip for the weekend to a retreat in Colorado Springs. I made several purchases using my debit/credit card and the money was in the bank. More than enough. When I got back home on the 14th I was tired and it was late and I didn't have to worry about the money anyway.

On Monday, June 15, the first thing I did was to transfer money from one account into the account that I would be using to do some errands. I trasnferred $75 into the account on a one-time immediate basis.

Because BOA (Bunch of A*holes) is pushing for its customers to "go green", save paper and use their online banking, I decided to take advantage of it. I have been for quite some time.in order to say printing out transfer reports or daily activities I would write down the confirmation numbers of any activity that I had done as well as save it in my favorites file and then a separate file folder.

However, what they don't tell you, is that you must print out those documents because when you go back into your folder the transfer information isn't there, but, rather, a whole brand new website comes up and you have to sign in all over again. The glitch is that it brings you to the most current information, not what you had saved.

What they have done now is to pay the two big charges that I made on the 15th with no overdraft charges and pay, but charge a fee for all of the numerous smaller amounts from Colorado. I should have positive balance; however they have taken $210 on overdraft charges (for all the smaller items purchased over the weekend before the 15th when the money was there) because they say that I didn't make the transfer until Tuesday, June 16th.

Since I can't get the copy out of my favorites because it will never show up or save like it should, the only proof I have is the internal memory of my computer which shows that it was done on the 15! Their answer: "Take your whole computer down to the Bank, show them what you're telling me about, and they "might" be able to help you.

This Bunch of A*holes continue to rip us off on a personal basis and turning around and asking the government for help. I understand from other complaints that this iis one of the largest complaints, and the number 1 complaint, of BOA customers.

I urge everyone to get hold of the big newspapers, write letters to the editors about this happening to you (New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Washiington, D.C. Post, Chicago Tribune, etc.). Maybe someone will take the initiative to bring a class action against this company that defrauds the American public right and left.

Oh, and to really put some salt on the wound, if I don't come up with the overdraft amount by this coming Monday, they're charging me another $35.
