Over a year ago, I worked as an "account manager" "distributor", or whatever creative title the company would like to give you. The company's names always changed. Because they would get slandered on these websites, craigslist, etc. But the most recent name of the company is "THE MARKETING FIRM", which i believe consists of a couple different companies all under one name. A dept in home depot, direct tv, fast wax, and smart circle. The specific manager/owner that I am reporting about is a man named John Nielsen.
I started in his office in Tucson, AZ. Which eventually got shut down because him and his business partner could no longer run it. A minority of the office moved up to Phoenix, in an attempt to re-open his business. This is where all of the discrepancies began, borrowing money, no more "paid-training", the whole pyramid scam elapsed. This man was considered my "trainer", or "manager"... But what kind of manager doesn't have a vehicle and owes almost all of the people in the office money.
Besides the inappropriate sexual harassment and behavior that he indulged in, his demeanor seemed business-oriented. I basically worked 13-15 hr days, and had to use my own vehicle, paying gas out of pocket. Driving up to 20 miles a day. No compensation. Upon arrival to the Phoenix office, it was 100% sales, there were weeks where I would make 50.00 for an entire week. I believe in the company, I was just horribly misled by my "trainer", John Nielsen. Unfortunately, me and a couple of his other employees all shared a home (kind of inappropriate right?), and on numerous occasions my manager needed money, rides, and owed everyone money.
After I finally left the company, and the home this man and his other roomates ran up a bill on our direct tv, which was $1200 bc him and his friends bought fights, playboy tv, porno movies, etc. My credit is completely messed up, I have a continued claim for all of the fees. THIS WAS OVER A YEAR AGO! The man still hasnt been able to pay me back the money, how pathetic. I just want to warn anyone going on interviews or job searching NOT to fall under this man's company, he is a scam artist. I'm not sure about the other managers or owners, I just know from my personal experience this man is not to be trusted. So, if you happen to get an interview... Make sure you don't get him as a trainer or mentor.
