Prestige Financial And Larry Miller
7 years later taking me to court and will not tell me how much they sold the car for

7 years ago I was contacted by Prestige Financial. They told me I was approved for a loan to buy a car. I did need a car, but had not contacted them. They sent me to Larry Miller and what a nightmare. I drove an hour and a half to the dealership. When I got there I wanted to look at some small cars. They had some escorts and thats what I wanted. They took the keys to my truck to have it apprased. They then told me that the only way I could have a loan is to buy a more expensive car. When I told them I didn't want to pay that much for a car, they kept pushing. I asked for my keys back and they then told me the person doing the apprasal had gone to lunch and had taken my keys by accident. Then they gave me the keys to the Taurus they were trying to sell me and gave me and my friend some money go have lunch. We did, and when we came back the nightmare continued. I asked several times for my keys back. My friend and I were there apx 5 hours. I finally caved in and signed the papers.

I made the payments for about a year and a half but could not keep it up. They were way above my income level. I called and let them know I was going to have to turn the car in. I actually drove it to another dealership as the one I had bought it from had closed. I had a paper signed by the man I gave the keys to.

They have tried over the 7 years to get me to pay the entire loan on the car. They would never tell me what the car was sold for, I finally got a letter from a loan officer at Prestige telling me they sold the car for $7,777.00 dollars. I have asked for proof of that none has been furnished.

At this time they have sent a summons and complaint, I filed an answer, then 6 months I had to go to the courts and talk with their attorney. He told me that at this point I now owe them 20,000.00. I spoke with him and let him know that first of all I need proof of what they sold the car for. That I am not going down easy. So last week I got a trial notice for July 30. I will go and I am researching my States Statutes on this matter. I am not sure what is going to happen.

The car on my Credit Report has been written off for a long time. I will go to Court, I can't afford an attorney so I am trying to find the laws and rules.

These people are the lowest of the low, I make sure to tell anyone and everyone what slimey people they are.
