My son purchased a 2002 Jetta from John Elway Nissan at the Pepsi Center during their GO event in Sept. Of 2010. My son is 19 years and we find out he does not have any credit, we thought that he might have at least one trade line. Ryan. Who did the finance during the event stated he was all set, my son signed all his papers. Our sales person Alex who we asked several times if he was approved we were told yes. He is all set. They implied he was approved for the loan, they handed him the car keys said you are all set. Drop you $2000 on Monday, money was dropped off they never cashed the check stating that because his name was not on the check they could not cash it. Please they could of called the bank to verify that the funds were in there or go to any Wells Fargo and cashed it. Then today 9/27 two weeks after the sale they call my son and tell him to get a co-signer or reutrn the car. You sold a 19 year a car you pulled his credit at the time of the sale you knew that he did not have any credit, Totally misleading. Then then I speak to the finance guy Ryan I ask him was anyone approved for a loan at the sale he told me know. How do you give a 19 year keys to a car knowing you can not get financing for him, how do you hand other people car keys knowing there could be an issue.
What about being upfront and honest, you have now destroyed a 19 old. As far as I am concerned your dealership should be closed. I plan on filing complaint with every agency there is. And I already have 2 local TV stations calling John Elway Nissan headquarters. How dare you
