I responded to the Bright Teeth Whitening Kit advertisement for a free trial for only the shipping charge. I saw nothing that indicated they would charge me before the trial period ended. The shipping was charged to my account immediately. Three days after I received the product, my checking account was debited $78.23. I had not even had a chance to open it. I went to their website (the advertisement was no longer on my computer) and read their "certain conditions apply" nonsense which stated that I would be billed 10 days from the order date! I emailed the company that I wanted to return the unopened product and obtain a refund. They emailed me back telling me I would be happy with the results and told me about future charges to me, but offered no product return information. I emailed again and they responded by email that I had to call. I called 5/14/09 and was told they could not refund my money and at one point said it was because I had opened the product. I corrected them on that. They then offered a refund of $20; when I told them I would contact the Attorney General, they increased it to $40 and finally to $60. I told them I wanted the entire $78 back but they wouldn't budge.
