When I called RepairMaster (a subsidiary of Warrentech Companies) to make claim regarding my satellite radio, (which is covered under a 5 year extended warranty), they said I wasn't in their system. My registration number was listed and they had it on file, yet I was told they didn't have last *4 digits of zip code (*even though it's on my copy of the registration printed out from their website). So I gave them this information again and was told to call back in 24 hours to file my claim. I called back 2 days later & they still claimed I wasn't in their system and it would take 3-5 business days to enter this zip code information.
After viewing other complaints on usacomplaints.com.Com it appears that this is clearly another ripoff scam. Why would the last 4 digits of a zip code prevent someone from being entered into their system as a paid registered client. They have my registration number on file and therefore I should receive the warranty service I purchased. What can one do when unscrupulous thieves such as this continue to rob and steal from consumers besides complain? Don't we have any legal recourse?
