I was cruising through a few ads and decided to order a make up sample, then looked at a teeth whitener, but decided against it. I stumbled onto the Seattle Direct Coffee site and it seemed O.K. I swear, I must've read the ad, with it's disclaimer, privacy policy, explanations about what you would and wouldn't get when ordering, when to return, etc. I pride myself in being one to read and understand directions. I looked and looked for, what I thought would be, a "TOTAL" cost after shipping, handling. Etc. Then I spotted the "free shipping." Wow, I thought. The items, I thought, would cost me $5.00 for 5 items... I could live with that, I thought. Besides, I"d recently lost my favorite "carry in the car" coffee cup, and liked the size of the ones you stick in your cupboard. Dollar store type items, I'm sure... I could live with the coffee too. And, for the price and the free cups, I was seriousely considering, not cancelling, this "subscription" and fulfilling the deal... THAT IS UNTIL WHAT HAPPENED NEXT...
Because of my lack of trust in internet company deals, providing my visa infor on the phone and the fact that I also, almost simutaneousely, learned of the new virus from Russia... I decided to read things even more carefully. Again I looked at the 5 for 5 and didn't, until the last second... And on a totally different page than when I saw it the first time... I see 5 for "5 EACH".
This little fact was not evident on the first page... Nor did they provide you a total on, some type of on-line invoice. To shoe your purchase price, other charge and "total charges" no, they just whisked away your infor... Sent your "order" off into cyberspace... And left me, and many thousands of consumers, there to figure out how to see the invoice total...
I was SHOCKED when I looked at my on line "reliacard" account info... To see that the $25.00 flippin dollar charge had already attached itself to my account... Nothis isn't right... 20 more than i was expecting... 20 more than they were trying to advertise... And 25.00 more than they were willing to show you on any "online invoice"... Like hundreds of other, much more honest??? Sites...
i am demanding a refund... A credit to my account. Long before the waiting period they talk about. They took it out that quickly, they can return the stolen money, just as fast. A click of a button and it's done... They'll try to lie and say it's impossible to do things that way... But we all know the truth. They had my money out of my account even before i could say... Seattle Coffee Direct... Tried to scam me and steal money!!! If there are any more repurcussions from this "poor business dealing" I will be livid and beyond reproach. And in the mood for another REPORT Thanks for listening... A Consumer Wronged...
