Complaint / Review
EIB International
Also Known As EMS scam, pyramid, door to door sales, misleading, unprofessional, interview, sales pitch, con artist

EIB International (also known as EMS) was listed on www.careerbuilder.com as a company interested in hiring for several different types of positions to include assistant manager.

When I first arrived for the interview, I walked into the main lobby to see lawn chairs in the waiting area. The first thought that went through my mind was, "Are you kidding me?"

I waited for approximately five minutes and then another interviewer showed up. We didn't talk much, just glanced at one another possibly thinking the same thing about the lawn chairs.

Another twenty minutes went by when we were greeted by the hiring manager. I was told to dress business professional mind you; suit, tie, the whole nine yards. The hiring manager wore a polo shirt that said at&t solutions provider. The collar was hideously wrinkled and so was the shirt.

At this point I still didn't know what I was getting myself into. Obviously I was looking forward to the interview and possibly attaining a manager or team leader position. (hence the CareerBuilder job application posting.)

I have never interviewed in an office with several other candidates at a time. The taste in my mouth began to turn sour by merely thinking of working for this company.

To make a long story short.

They do not offer health benefits until you reach manager level.

You start from the ground up. Door to door sales and then a possibility for advancement - This conflicted with the CareerBuilder posting.

100% Commission. (pyramid scheme payroll)

They obviously do not know which company name to use.
*Career builder states EIB, however at the interview it suddenly becomes EMS.

They do not have toll free numbers or any type of contact information on their website, except for e-mail addresses.

They state they work for fortune 500 companies and have been in business since 1973. - After being in business for that long you should definitely know how to dress professionally and at the least appear to be successful.

I had to ask for a contact number via e-mail.

They claim to have won a contract with AT&T; however can't find anything on that.

Their website looks amateurish, website.html' doesn't have a uniquely identifiable name. (page1.html, page2.html). - A well to do company usually has a professional looking website.

Bottom line - "if it appears fishy, seems fishy, then it probably is."
