American Direct Distribution aka ADCO Distribution admits to running misleading ads in the Dallas Morning News Garland

Mike, an ADCO employee in charge of the 7-11 Sparta Project, admitted to running a fraudulent ad in the paper to get employees in. But the scam did not stop there.

During orientation, Mike told the employees they could make serious money-doing 10 packages a week. When I did 10 packages a week (with the inaccurate information), then we had a work distribution problem.

Mike, Carol and Terrance all had conflicting stories as to why they could not give out packages.

Terrance tripped over his lies in one sentence. He claimed that a company took all of the packages and finished them all up in a few weeks, seconds later he stated an individual did so.

Carol said the project was coming to an end.

Mike said the man in charge of the Sparta Project at 7-11 was an a-hole and he only sends in the packages when he wants to. So at that time he had no packages. But when I reinstated my unemployment claim, Mike called me in to work in the office. He asked me Why did I do this to him? Then showed me my unemployment claim.

Well, if there was no work, why should I not file for unemployment? I do not see why me filing should determine if there is work or not. He stated I could no longer work from home as in the original agreement, but I should work from the office and showed me a work schedule with very generous hours.

I tried to work these generous hours and was sent home every time thus limiting the packages I could complete. I tried in every way to accommodate this company and to no avail.

Later in another conversation, Mike slipped in how he knew all of the Garland cops on a first name basis. Then he told me some story about taking a switchblade knife away from an ex-employee. I was wondering how is that relevant to work?

I did talk to Raymond, the president. I was surprised to find him here, as the contact information is not consistent with the Attorney General. Mike was trying stiff me out of payment, but Raymond did make sure I got my paycheck. However, he did miss the point that Mike pushed me out of the job when he had no reason to. I do have recordings of conversations to backup what I have said.

Texas is a right to work or an at will employment state. But employees do have legal rights. Employees cannot make threats as I took that switchblade story to be. This company will be hearing from me again.
