I was really desperate for a job due to the economic structure in Sherman Texas at least on my part. So I turned to craigslist to try to find a job being that I was unable to find employment for a few months. After searching literally hundreds of job postings on craigslist I found an opportunity which stated Management positions available, paid training, No Experience etc. At this point I'm like ok let me see what these people are talking about.in my mind I'm like this has to be some b.S. But I give it the benefit of the doubt being that I really needed a career path to make ends meet.
I called the number listed in the add and I asked to speak to Kathy but she wasn't in. I guess the dude who answered the phone and took my message was a receptionist of some sort. One day goes by I call back again and ask the same question. A guy by the name of Brian picks up, I ask him "May I speak to Kathy please?" He responds " She is out of office in a meeting. Are you calling about the job description posted on craigslist" I responded "yes" He goes on to ask me questions like: Do you have reliable transportation? Are you looking for fulltime work yada yada. Then he says we will give you a call later on this week, if you don't hear from us give us a call Monday at 9:00am.
Now at this time red flags flew up because I haven't heard of any career job especially Management asking questions like the ones stated above on the phone. I really needed a job so I thought nothing of it and waited for the call. About 2hrs later I get a call from the same numbers asking me to come to an interview the same day but unfortunately I couldn't due to unexpected plans. I kindly ask the guy if we can set something up for the next day. He said give me a call at 9:00am tomorrow...
It's 9:00am the next day and I call the number listed, a guy picks up I guess its Brian who knows? He schedules me for an afternoon interview. I walk in the office the first thing I notice is the music it wasn't all that loud but I felt it wasn't that professional for a Management interview to say the least. Second thing was the receptionist had visible tatoos on both arms... in my mind I'm like wtf??? It gets crazier... The person who was doing the interview had a very provacative skirt on with heels like she's ready to go to the club doing interviews. Now I'm very skeptical didn't really know what to expect. I really thought this was an under cover Porn audition... I filled out the basic application scratched out the education section as stated by the so called receptionist. Me and this other person are called in the office for a first interview.
Stop and think... Everthing is supposed to be professional and confidential so how are you going to interview two people at the same time for a Management position??? She goes on to ask us what do we rate ourselves on a scale from 1-10, our long short term goals, small talk, I mean basic bullisshh that has nothing to do with Management. On top of that the interview room was like a pastel green with flowers on the wall looked really nice but I just never been exposed to a Hiring Manager with a room like this (red flags i really needed this job so I gave it the benefit of the doubt)... It made you feel very relaxed as the interview was.
Allright so she told me to come back to a second interview a few hrs later with pen and paper. When I get there me and a group of about 12 people are escorted by the so called Hiring manger to this back room or class room. On this white dry erase board we are asked to copy everthing on the board. It told the owners names which is Jami Williams and something Garcia she was an asian looking chick I can't remember her name and frankly don't give a f*ck. (That might not even be thier real names now that I think about it. Nothing is in writing or signed by them. No w2 forms or nothing. Everything is verbal)
We also wrote down the locations of the so called legit business." Now in my mind I'm thinking this some bullishhhh" I asked the chick on the side of me what do this job do and she didn't even know... Basically everybody there needed a job bad... Ok I sit there for a couple minutes and wait for the second hiring manager to speak and guess who is the second mamager??? THE DAMN RECEPTIONIST. THE CHICK WITH THE TATS SHOWING.
To make a long story short she feeds us all kinds of bullissh about LARRY HAHN, Marketing, Training, going on paid vacation, 100% benefits asked what kind of long term goals we wanted luxury cars we wanted yada yada yada... While doing this she was using a hell of a lot of profanity the f word to be exact... Basically trying to sell a dream... It threw me way off b/c what she said sounded really good in terms of opportunity... Everybody in my group didn't have a degree or anything... We just needed a good job and you could have seen it in our eyes... A couple of us had kids and married including myself... She wanted us to quit our job we have now and do her issssshhh full time??? Wtf... What in the f this has to do with management... She said we will be able to open our own office after the 6-10 week paid training???
To wrap this up at the end of the seminar she gave everybody a serperate call back time like 3:45,4:56... Etc and asked if this is somthing we want to do. We all said yes but in my mind now I know it's a scam... I call back at my time and shes like congrats you made it and all type of bullisssh that I didn't believe... I was playing her game and setting her up. She was like bring a binder lots of paper and a list of names and numbers...
At this point this job wasn't official... She must be out of her damn mind if she think I'm going to give her 100's of my friends number for her to call with nothing in return... On top of that I might go bak to the orientaton with a recorder and shut this illegal pyramid scheme down... Is stealing. You are better off selling drugs on the street at least the customers come to you and know exactly what they are buying instead of lying and decieving people out of thier hard earned money..
In conclusion I researced the company and IMT PRPMOTIONS OUT OF DALLAS TEXAS DON"T EXIST... Also read reviews about Scentura and the same thing they went through I went through...
F*ck imt promotions... You said f me by lying and wasting my time so f you... I"m exposing you...
Everything about your unofficial company is fraud from your names to business& you don't have tax id numbers, business cards, professionalism or nothing... Get your issh together stop scaming people, get a job...
