IRA rollover from current bank to National City Bank - lost $800.00 in interest because it took them one month to process

Be very careful when rolling your IRA from one bank to National City's Bank. Because it took National City Bank one month to process my family member's IRA and lost $800.00 in interest because of the time lapse that was never mentioned up frontin the best way to make the transaction without a lapse in interest.

I called customer service and unfortunately was connected withGene Reed a customer service representative to ask for whom I could talk to about the process on rolling an IRA from one bank to another and why would we have lost so much in interest.

He was rude and kept stateing several times that he couldn't helpme because it was not my account and even said that this is explained to me multiple times. Which I understood the first timehe said it and proceeded to tell him so. I replied that for the second or third time that I was just looking to speak with someonefor information about their process of rolling one IRA to another and I never asked him to look at a specific account. Please, justgive me some facts! Or a number perhaps of someone who can help me about a service your bank offers!

We then exchanged unpleasant comments and I said to himthat I wasn't happy with his help and he said that he didn't careif I wasn't happy and I said my point exactly.

Can someone please tell me why he is in customer service. Not only am I convinced that I or anyone else I know should neverbank there I would like to tell the world at this point.

He has no clue what customer service or information is - why is he there but to make you never want to deal with this bank again.

I guess buisness these days expect you to have a phd on theirservice alone and expects that you will get no help after theyhave your buisness so customers beware. And banks, please do everyone a favor and have some common courtesy, in this dayand age that seems to have none and at least hire people that can help you even if they are rude in customer service. A resultwould have helped instead of none.

And as far as my original problem. I had to call a branch to ask that I would like to roll my current IRA to their bank and how couldI do that and what was the process in order to see what the process actually is. Can you believe that! They will take your money, but will not help you if they have your money! What isbuisness' objective anymore. Why would you place someone incustomer service that offers no help or suggestions to a problemthat someone is having. Has National City Bank ever thought ofretaining their customers? Guess not.

I thought of reporting him to him manager Chris Level but you know that he is probably the same way and nothing would havebeen done. Gene would still not understand what his job is or whyhe is there and why his position is in customer dis-service. He, likemany other employees is why this type of service continues and comments like this are posted to be a warning to others.

I wish that I checked the complaints before dealing with this bank. Live and learn the hard way I guess. Unfortunate for us I hope this helps someone out there not go through the same things that wehad to.
