I found this website for a loan for people with poor credit. It said that they use third party lenders to help people to get a loan to get out of debt. I put in my application, it said the minimum that I could get was $10,000. I thought if that would work out I could pay off most of my bills, and be able to breath once again.
The following week I received a message from a Victoria Parks, her number came in as blocked i.D. So I did not answer it. But she left a message saying she had good news, she found a lender who was willing to finance my loan and to contact her immediately.
I was so excited, I called her and she was so nice and sweet to me on the phone, stating that they had been in business for years helping people like me.
She said she would email the contract to me, which she did immediately. It had 2 options, one was regular, and the other was an insurance policy. I took the least expensive without the insurance policy attached.
She assured me that it would be fine, but due to my credit history I had to pay up front $900. She said that would show the lender a David Winters that I would be a good risk.
During this time, I was recovering from surgery and was on medical leave from work, so needless to say my funds were quite limited, however I thought that I would get $10,000 within and hour after I sent her the money.
I got the money together, somehow. She told me I had to send it to Mr. Winters by money gram, and I could find one at the local Walmart. Also, I had to fax back to her the signed contract before anything could become final.
At first she told me to send the money to David Winters by moneygram to New York. Then she called me back and said that Mr Winters was out of town, and I had to send it to him in Alberta, Canada.
I should have thouth that this was odd, but I was so happy about getting out of debt, I did not question it.
Victoria Parks told me that once the money was sent, I was to call her with the reference number, and my money would be in my checking account within one hour.
I did what she said, and called her. She said she would call me back within one hour, and also while talking to her she kept saying I can't hear you, and eventually she hung up. I called back immediately.
She answered me finally and said for me to await her call.
2 hours later she called and said that David Winters had run my credit again, and now he would not finance my loan unless I took the insurance policy, and to send $300 more dollars in the same method, but this time instead of David Winters name, to send it to her, Victoria Parks because moneygram had a rule that you could not send over $1000 to an individual in one day.
Of course I didn't know about moneygrams. I cried and told her I did not have $300 more dollars. She said I had to get it or cancel everything, however they already had my $900. I had a little less than $300, so I called a coworker and asked to borrow $40.
I sent the money, called with the reference number, and the rest is history. Victoria Parks has never spoken to me since, she would not answer my phone calls. I must have left a hundered voice messages. I cried and cried and said how could she take money from someone who had nothing. Of course I have never received one penny of the $10,000.
I have been devestated. I had to close may checking account which I had ove 30 years. I had to contact all of my creditors to say I have no money to pay them. Several of which were Pay Day Loans.
I have been so stressed, I had to go to churches to have enough money to pay my rent. I am back to work, but I won't have a full paycheck until the middle of April.
A few of my creditors were understanding, but many simply said they would turn it over to collections. I have been overwhelmed and stressed. I still can believe that I was so stupid as to believe that I would receive this oney.
Please everyone who is hurting financial, please don't get caught in a scheme such as the one that got me.
The website for that company is still up, and now it says the minimum that one can borrow is $20,000. Please don't trust anyone who says they need moneygrams, because there is nothing to trace, and they have the cash instantly.
I am a single person, and it will probably take 6 to 12 months for me to recover from this disaster.
Please, don't let it happen to you.
Don't trust the scammers.
Fraud is alive and well these days.
I trust that God has a place for the Victoria Parks and the David Winters of the world.
I am still overwhelmed, but I am getting through this with God's help and with prayer and some good friends.
