The way our economy is today not many people have money to just throw away. Be careful small business that are struggling to survive on a gentlemen by the name of David Winters from Statewide Funding Corp. I do not like to give personal information out to others about myself in manner of a fax. I was told to fax proof of my identity basically and that I was a pproved for a $25,000 loan with payments of 316.00 per month and a 9% interest rate. However, I was to western union a insurance fee that would be refunded to me after 90 days if $1275.00.
I researched this situation only to find many inconsistencies with David's offer. I asked if he was with Better Buisiness Bureau. He stated yes and my attorney could look over this information. Well there is a Statewide Funding Corp but it was not registered with the Better Buisiness Bureau.
The phone number that was provided on the internet was a different number than the one he provided. The fax was different as well. The number I called on the website was not the same number and the phone number was disconnected.
David appeared to be very short with me over the phone. When I asked him questions he seemed to be quite defensive. I am a struggling small business and can not take any risks of buying into something I feel is questionable. I would much prefer a lender with someone that seems to understand my situation, is performing legal acts of buisiness, and is sincere and trustworthy. I did not sense this with David Winters.
