I placed an order with Newportnews online. The order was suppose to arrive within 3 to 5 days. After 2 days they billed my credit card bit 4 days later order was still not here. I called and they told me the order was still in the warehouse. I told them to cancel the order as they had not even shipped it yet but had already billed me 3 days earlier. They told me it was impossible to cancel the order even though they had not shipped it yet. I was told once I received the order I could send it back. I did so by UPS and tracked the order. They received the order by UPS on the 23rd of Feb. On the 26th I called to see why they had not credited my refund to my credit card. They told me it had been scanned and accepted but would take a day or two to see on my credit card. I checked every day but still no refund. I called customer service only to be hung up on. I finally got a so called manager who told me he would expedite the credit. It has now been over 3 weeks and they still have not processed my refund. I called again today and they told me that they do not have to refund my money for up to 60 days. I told them that this was unreasonable and was told "too bad that is our policy". After 60 days they can then process the order manually into the system. I asked why they could not just do this now they then hung up on me again!!! Do not order from this company - they just want to keep your money!!!
