I ordered some product on 12/6/05 at 9pm. Later that evening I received TWO e-mails about confirmation about them running the order twice.
I called at 8:30am on 12/7 telling them they duplicated the order. Even though it had not been shipped, they could not cancel. I called my bank and the funds had already been debited from my account.
I received both packages on 12/15 and called to return them. Overstock.com sent me a return label and they were UPS'd to them on 12/16 and susequently received on 12/21.
I was then told it would take two weeks to process my refund. Once the processed my refund on 1/3/06, I was told it would take 8 days for my credit card to be refunded and that I should expect the credit to be issued on 1/13/06.
Amazingly they were able to debit my card AFTER BUSINESS HOURS immediately after receiving my order but then needed TWENTY FOUR DAYS to process a credit for their error.
