My complaint starts in the year 2006 thru jan
I noticed unbalanced charges in my bill and meter reads in dec that prompted me to do a self audit of alliants statements for the last 3 years and 1 month. My findings was a jaw dropper. Because of alliants procedures produced a total over charge of $567.00 dollars. This finding took me to the iowa utilities board and ms. Rosemary tate who did after much complaining filed an open complaint.
This helped however, there is still a $130.12 dollar over charge that has not been resolved. This over charge is as follows: 2006 = $29.91 = $26.04 = $74.17 these totals are a direct resault from kwh's cost charged to amount of over payments made.
The importants of this complaint is i am 72 years old and on fixed income as so many other of alliant customers are in this area of iowa.
This is more then a mistake it is alliants common practice. Using simple math this becomes a eye opener $567.00 x 176 house-holds = $100,000.00 and$130.12 x 769 house-holds = 100,000.00 which is just about the house-hold population of armstrong, ia.
I have on numerious occations contacted alliant to which i have never received an answer or explanation. Will you help me and the others that have been affected with this upside down accounting?
