Before making an appointment at the Mountain Home, Idaho Wal-mart Vision Center, I asked the price of an exam for contacts and was told 50-60 dollars.
During the exam, I asked to have a prescription for the Muti-focal Accuvue contacts that I had been wearing, but in a higher power. The doctor said that Accuvue doesn't make the multi-focal lenses anymore. He gave me another lense.
When I left, my bill was $133 because he had to "fit me for a contact."
When I came back for the return appointment, a different doctor asked how the contact was doing. I said that it isn't as good as the other. I just wanted the Accuvue which I had seen in another Walmart after my intial appointment. He said that they could order me the Accuvue and asked my past prescription. I had given the prescription to the previous doctor who had not written it down.
There was no consistency or consideration in my care. After spending $133, my vision hasn't improved, and I'm left waiting for a contact that may not help.
I am very disappointed in this kind of service and will not return.
