I recently made two purchases from www.tacticalgunarmory.com. I purchased two separate handguns a couple of weeks apart. I have tried multiple times via phone and email to contact them and have yet to receive anything but an auto-generated response. This is two auto responses in thirty days.
On January 20 I purchases and was charged within minutes a handgun that cost nearly $700.00. The site does not show that an item is out of stock, which is different from other sites and is what prompted me to order from them. I received an email shortly after my card was charged that the item was backordered and would be for 2-3 weeks. This was fine since this item WAS not in stock virtually anywhere. I'll come back to this.
A week and a couple of days later I ordered another handgun for just under $300.00. At this point, it had not been an unreasonable amount of time for the first order. As I expected, I was charged immediately and shortly after received an email stating it was on back order. Again, typical since it's a highly sought after item.
Now is where it goes wrong. All communication ceased from them. 2-3 weeks back order came and went and it is now pushing 4 weeks and despite ALL of my emails and calls I have received no answers. All emails are responded with a generated message stating that a ticket number was assigned and you will hear back from them in 3 or 4 business days due to high volume. On the first order I've asked multiple questions multiple times and have never heard back.
On the second order, I can not even get a response as to whether or not the appropriate FFL information has been received. Now it is almost two weeks for order #2, and no repsonse, no stock, no nothing. My local gun shop has seen BOTH of these items in two separate shipments that come in, get sold, and come in again. They are sought after items, but not so much that they take a month to receive. The factory's are producing them and shipping them frequently and yes, I've contacted the manufacturers about the frequency of shipping and oddly enough, received a personalized response from major corporations in less than 2 business days for both items.
If you try calling, good luck. After hours, you will get a machine stating they are closed, with no message leaving capability. During business hours, you WILL get a busy signal. During their one hour lunch, you WILL get a machine telling you to call back after lunch. I have never after many, many, many tries gotten through to anyone there. Neither did my FFL dealer and any of the other people who have posted negatively about them and their sister company, Thebladeshop.com.
I sent an email stating I want an immediate refund and I expect it will be a fight to get it. Of course, I didn't even get an auto-generated response to that one. I have a feeling they will say they "never received it" but I CC'd myself and can bring that to litigation if need be. I urge ANYone to stay away from these people. It is my belief that tacticalgunarmory.com and thebladeshop.com don't carry stock, they take and spend your money and are in way over their heads and for whatever reason, whether it's deceit or despair, don't see fit to close their doors. I've also contacted the BBB about them and opened a ticket so hopefully that will help in some small way.
