I have had way too many unpleasent phone conversations with the females who work the phones in the apointment section. They are rude and sarcastic. Also, I was wrongfully terminated of my services there. There are 3 appointments allowed to miss. My first was due to sleeping in and missing my child's apointment because I was up all night with him sick. I can understand that that missed appointment would fall on me. But the other two I completely object to. Anyway, my son had 30 days before he could not be seen there anymore. As of 8:00 am on February 18th, I called to make my son an appointment. His symptoms are a 102 degree temperature, pulling at both ears, runny nose, coughing, sneezing, screaming in pain even after I gave him Tylenol and held him/walked him around/comforted him in every way I could think of. So, when I called in to make this appointment, the girl I spoke with told me in a very rude tone that this would be the LAST time he could be seen and that I had better find someone else. Due to the rudeness, my response was "whatever... I dnt like the rude services we have been recieving anyway..." out of frustration due to the fast that my son was screaming in my arms and this woman feels that she needs to be rude and snooty to me after I just got done telling her that my son had a 102 degree temperature and that I wanted to have him seen as soon as they had an available appointment. Her response to that was that I could be seen in the emergency room if I thought that their services were rude and not for me. I said "can we please just make my son this appointment, he needs to be seen as soon as he can get in. She said fine and then felt the need to once again tell me that this is the LAST time he can be seen and that we needed to seek services for my son "elsewhere". About 10 minutes after I made the appointment (2 hours before his appointment time that was set) I recieved a VERY rude message from a different woman from that office and her message was "I am canceling Riley's appointment immediately and you need to go somewhere else to have him seen because I will not tolerate my office being told that our services are rude and whatnot. You need to take him somewhere else like the emergency room since you think that you are so much better off with them". Frankly, I have HAD IT with the rudeness and almightness attitude that this office has toward concered mothers and sick children. This should be about my sick son, not a woman who feels that I have offended her services when I said that the people there are rude and unhelpful. This will not be my only complaint. I will be seeking higher people to speak with this about this issue. I most certainly hope that you can take this message into consideration and have something done about the unprofessionalism of the situation I was just in and hopefully get some kind, caring people to work there instead of these people who think that they are there to judge and critisize as they feel nessessary. My son is being refused services due to the fact that the people in appointments are "upset because I said that their services are rude there".in my opinion, Child and Adolescent Clinic sounds like a place where it is about the children, not overly emotional and snooty office people...
