My family were patients at their Healthy Smiles Dental Clinic. My husband was late (2 minutes) for his appointment, and was told he was no longer patient at their clinic because he was 2 minutes late. My child and I had an appointment the following week, and was not called the day before our appointment.
I decided to call them and ask what time my appointment was. I was then told by a rude nasty little girl maybe 19 (who on several occassions was very rude and very mean) that my whole family was no longer patients. Needless to say I was very upset about the situation.
Many times our appointments never showed up on the book when we had made arrangements to drive 30 minutes to their office. We had the cards to prove that we had appointments. One of the few times our appointments that they did have down, I forgot my insurance card and tried to have one faxed to them.
The dentist told me that the state required all insurance to be copied (a total lie) because they sent in auditors (I called the state to find out the whole truth and they said they do not send in auditors for insurance unless their is descrepencies in billing and it has to be major).
The dentist then told me that the fax machine only will work for junk faxes and not important ones. Their CEO and Director stuck up for them of course. He used to be a commissioner of our county until he did not get re-elected now I can see why. I thought he was a half honest politician but I was wrong, and thought he was there to help people.
Also don't try to get any help from GMN for home weatherization (which is a grant given by the state to them). I am tired their rude and downright nasty behavior towards others.
