The AHS story is that the drainage leaked and we saw a bulky ceiling in the kitchen. Placed a call on 1/29 and got a contractor number. However, the contractor (Parrish Plumbing Service) would not schedule a service until a week later with a 3 hours delay and no show. We complaint to AHS, and asked to escalate the case to emergency as we could not take a shower, the rep agreed to assign to another contractor but lied to us that the contractor could come out the next day. When we called the second contractor, turned out that they could not come out 3 days later. The pain and agony to get their attention was going on and on.
Finally, an imcompetent, careless, non-sensible plumber showed up after 2 1/2 weeks. The guy simply walked up to look at the ceiling hole, asked - how long have you lived here? What the heck is that related to the fixing? Then the guy said he needed to place a call the AHS. He came back simply said AHS denied the cover because of faulty installation and that there was no coverage under the policy. While the call took over 2 21/2 weeks to get their technician out, we were poking around the drainage and removed the torn down rubber gadget from the drain. The technician came to peek into the drainage from below without inspecting the torn down parts, and conclude that it was faulty installation. It is simply obsurd, we have been living in the house for 5 years, How we or anyone would ever left the drainage improper installed and took a shower everyday? We had the claim history shows that the shower drainage has been a problem constantly yet the technician they sent merely look into the true cause and run away, but suffice it to say, we made a mistake pooking into our drainage while waiting 2 1/2 week without any shower.
Notwithstanding this AHS told us today, case closed, no recourse, claim denied and we have to pay for our own repairs. We still keep the old rubber gadget that has been replaced and will remember the pain and agony that AHS has caused us.
